Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – Genome Prairie is pleased to announce the appointment of three new Board members for three-year terms: Dr. Annemieke Farenhorst, University of Manitoba Associate Vice President of Research, Dr. Shawn Gibson, Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture Research Branch Executive Director, and Dr. Peter W.B. Phillips, University of Saskatchewan Johnson Shoyama Centre Distinguished Professor of Policy.
Dr. Jenisa Naidoo and Dr. Curtis Rempel were reappointed for additional two-year terms. All five members were approved at Genome Prairie’s Annual Meeting of Members, held on June 25, 2021, and their terms are effective immediately.
Genome Prairie acknowledges the lengthy and great service of three departing Board members: Dr. Gerald Brown (16 years), Dr. Digvir Jayas (13 years) and Dr. Mitchell Abrahamsen (7 years).
