Genome Prairie announced today that it will be relocating its Manitoba main office operations. Formally at 201 Portage in Winnipeg, the new Genome Prairie office will be located at Smartpark, adjacent to the main campus at the University of Manitoba.
“We’re really happy with the opportunity to find a place at Smartpark,” said Mike Cey, CEO of Genome Prairie. “Smartpark offers Genome Prairie the opportunity to connect with the academic research community located at the University of Manitoba and with other innovative companies with similar areas of interest while opening potential doors for collaboration and upstream research.”

Opened in 2002 on land owned by the University of Manitoba, Smartpark is a hub of research and technology organizations comprised of numerous tenants and startups that employ over 1,500 people. The park is focused on creating a thriving environment for science and innovation towards further developing the region’s knowledge-based economy.
The move is scheduled for completion by Friday, March 31, 2022. The specific address of Genome Prairie’s new Winnipeg location is Office 110, 200-135, Innovation Drive.
