Join Genome Prairie and Innovation Place for a special reception showcasing evidence of the global impacts of agricultural biotechnology from 4:00pm-6:00pm on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Boffins Club, Innovation Place, Saskatoon.
The event will feature presentations by VALGEN researchers and co-editors of the soon-to-be published Handbook on Agriculture, Biotechnology and Development (starting at 4:30 pm):
- Peter W.B. Phillips – Professor, Johnson-Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy, U of S;
- Stuart Smyth – Research Scientist, College of Agriculture and Bioresources, U of S;
- David Castle – Chair of Innovation in the Life Sciences, University of Edinburgh.
Take part in this event to network with other key stakeholders in the research cluster and discover evidence of economic and social impacts of agricultural biotechnology as highlighted in the Handbook — drawing on expert perspectives of 50 leading authors from 48 different institutions in 18 countries.
