WINNIPEG, MANITOBA: Genome Prairie announced today the appointment of Ms. Andrea Ladouceur to a three-year term on its board of directors.
Before joining the Genome Prairie board, Ms. Ladouceur held positions with the Government of Manitoba for nearly two decades, including Strategic Initiatives and Project Integrator and Assistant Deputy Minister for the Government of Manitoba Ministry of Investment and Trade. In January 2024, Ms. Ladouceur accepted an appointment as President for Bioscience Association Manitoba (BAM).
“We are delighted to have Ms. Ladouceur join our board,” said Mike Cey, President and CEO of Genome Prairie. “Andrea brings a wealth of strategic knowledge and has established a reputation for excellence within Manitoba’s bioscience sector.”

Ms. Ladoureur’s place on the Genome Prairie board will replace a vacancy created by the departure of Dr. Annemieke Farenhorst, whose board term expired in 2024.
“We wish to thank Dr. Farenhorst for her contributions to our board,” said Cey. “Her involvement and insights as a faculty member for the University of Manitoba’s Department of Soil Science were significant toward helping Genome Prairie further advance our record of excellence in food research.”
